Lepton Highlanders Sports Club

Early in the year funding finally became available for Lepton Highlander Cricket Club to install practice facilities at the club. After discussions with Verde Sports Cricket Ltd a position at the top of the field was decided up on and works commenced.

The site was levelled off to true falls and excavated before the stone for the bases was brought in.

As with all installations the base was carefully levelled and continually checked.

From an open area of unused land a double bay practice facility with one Premier and one Test Match batting end, with surround surfacing, frame and perimeter fencing has provided the club with the finest of facilities.

Due to the isolated nature of the ground alongside a main road the club decided to protect their investment with a secure perimeter fence.

Once the surfaces had been laid Charnwood Fencing Contractors were engaged to install the fence.
