Verde supply Groovy Grass for Oasis Press Launch

Verde were very excited when we got the telephone call asking if we could supply our popular Groovy Grass for the Spring Summer 2014 Press Launch at a popular high street clothing chain – Oasis.

To complement the collection Oasis were debuting, the lime green and funky pink Groovy Grass were selected, with the theme described as ‘Stepford housewives meets Edward Scissorhands’, the make-belief world of ‘Matchy-Patchy Mews’ based on the opening scene of the 90s cult classic – the part where the camera pans down an American avenue of neatly kept lawns and identikit houses.  

In late November, tucked away in the streets of London, the team worked their charm and transformed Soho’s Vinyl factory into a suburban haven, packed full of pretty gardens, whimsy bird houses and beautiful clothes.  Really, it was quite special.  All the quirky little touches, like the jars covered in Groovy Grass with pretty little birds sitting on top, gave the collection the setting it needed to visualise the inspiration behind it all.

When we launched Groovy Grass, this is exactly what we envisaged, and together with the set designer – Petra Storrs and the event co-ordinator – Family Ltd, a beautifully styled set was achieved.  I am sure you would agree!
