A fast 7^th lap in qualification secured Brad a 3^rd place gate pick with 1:58.497 lap time, less than half a second behind 2^nd place Kras and 1^st Place Kovar.

RACE 1:

Race 1 on the Saturday morning was in 35 degrees of heat!  Brad didn’t get as good a jump out the gate as Kras and came round the first bend in 3^rd place.  Kras managed to open the gap straight away, with Brad following on in 2^nd.  The track had been watered and was pretty sloppy in places but rough dry and rutted in others.  Brad played the safety card, having a 27 point lead in the Championship and came home in 2^nd place.

RACE 2:

Day two saw the British Bulldog’s hunger for the top step.  Although Ando didn’t need to win, he wanted to take the top step of the podium anyway, so a win today was the only thing that would secure that.  Brad got a good jump out the gate and was soon into first place with Kras chasing hard on his tail.  Half way through the race the battle really took off as Kras made a bar bashing pass for the lead.  Ando was having that podium so upped his game and tried a wide sweeping pass, but it was an inside line that allowed Brad back into the lead.  The heat was on for the next 3 laps with Kras giving it everything to try to pass Ando back.  Then Kras made a mistake, hit a hard spot, lost his rhythm which allowed Ando to pull a 9 second lead.  The last 3 laps left Ando way out front on his own and comfortably taking the win in Race 2. 

OVERALL:

2-1 for first overall.  27 point lead in the Championship.  One round to go in Italy, Imola, 28^th/29^th September.
