MIXED WEEKEND AT ROUND 4 OF THE BRITISH CHAMPIONSHIPS

REVO BRITISH CHAMPIONSHIPS – R4 – CANADA HEIGHTS – 24th May 2022

The fourth round of the Revo British Motocross Championships took the team south to the famous Canada Heights circuit. The sun shone all weekend, which would set the stage for a tough meeting physically for the all the riders competing.  

PRO CLASS:

JAKE MILLWARD:

QUALIFICATION:

A change from the usual schedule saw the MX1 class out on track first. Jake soon found his rhythm and put in a solid time, moving him to sixth in the standings. As the times were starting to improve amongst the other riders through the session, Jake dropped down to seventh place, but he managed to squeeze one more quick lap in - which moved him up to fourth place at the finish. 

PRO RACE 1:

Not a bad start for Jake in race one, who came round the first turn in the top ten. Going over the line at the end of the first lap in seventh place, Jake quickly got on the charge - moving his way up to fifth place. This is where Jake would cross the line at the chequered flag meaning a solid result to start the day. 

PRO RACE 2:

A tougher start for Jake in race two saw him exit the first turn buried in the middle of the pack. Jake soon made his way through the field making some good passes and moving his way up to tenth place. However, at the mid-point of the race Jake started to feel unwell and his pace started to drop away until he was unfortunately forced to retire - resulting in a DNF. 

OVERALL:

After a great showing in qualifying and a solid first race, it would prove to be an unfortunate second race. Onwards and upwards - keep working hard and we will get back to where we should be.
