R7. British Championships - Whitby - 31st July 2022

SOLID DAY AT ROUND 7 OF THE BRITISH CHAMPIONSHIPS 

REVO BRITISH CHAMPIONSHIPS – R7 – WHITBY– 31^st JULY 2022 

Round 7 of the Revo British Championship saw the team travel over to the seaside town of Whitby. The rain came down heavy on Saturday, which made the track very challenging for all of the riders. 

 

PRO MX2: 

  

BAILEY JOHNSTON: 

 

QUALIFICATION: 

Qualification didn’t quite go to plan for Bailey and struggled to find his flow around the technical track, finishing off the session in 25^th place. 

 

MX2 RACE 1: 

A great start for Bailey saw him rocket up the order and exit the first turn in sixth place. After settling in and finding his groove he found himself running in eleventh place, before dropping a spot to twelfth. This is where Bailey was for most of the race until a mistake over one of the smaller jumps on the track sent him off course and lost a couple of places. He then found his rhythm again and finished the race in 14^th place. 

 

MX2 RACE 2: 

An even better start for Bailey in race two saw him exit the first turn in fourth place. After riding a little tense for a few laps, Bailey dropped down to 14^th place and a few errors would drop him back to 16th, which is where he would then finish.

 

OVERALL:

P14-P16 = P16 Overall. After a tough start to the day in qualifying for Bailey, he soon turned it around. Two great starts and two solid rides, with plenty of positives to take away.

Good weekend over all a lot of positives and a some negatives to take away. Really happy with my starts this weekend with 2 top 5 starts. Definitely something to take to the next round.
