Geofabric Membrane

The Geofabric Membrane eliminates weeds and worms penetrating the drainage holes in the artificial grass, whilst at the same time allowing rain water to drain thoroughly. This woven fabric is laid during the installation process, beneath the artificial grass, and is available in 2.10m widths.

When used as part of an artificial grass installation the geofabric should be used as follows:

  • Once the base has been dug out and suitable drainage installed, cover the excavated ground with a Geofabric Membrane. 
  • Cover the membrane with 3-4 inches of 25mm - Dust of clean stone and compact with a wacker plate. 
  • Dress the stone with a fine layer of fine aggregate or sand. (ideally 5mm dust). This will help to level out any uneven areas. 
  • Fit the articicial grass over the stone and secure in place.
