A Garden for All Seasons

Since 2012, Kevin Caplen and his team at A Garden for All Seasons have proudly been accredited installers for Verde Sports. Having collaborated on numerous successful projects, Verde Sports recently partnered with A Garden for All Seasons on an exciting installation: creating a hockey pitch in a residential garden. As always, Kevin’s team took charge of the project from start to finish.

The process began with meticulous groundwork preparation, followed by laying tarmac around the perimeter of the designated area. Once the foundation was secure, the team installed Verde Prime Green, a tightly tufted carpet designed for sports surfaces. Known for its hard-wearing and resilient qualities, Verde Prime is an ideal choice for high-traffic areas like hockey pitches.

To complete the initial stages, sand was evenly distributed across the pitch. Although not essential for this type of artificial grass, the sand plays a crucial role in enhancing ball roll and reducing the risk of slipping for players. The final step—adding the distinctive white lines—will be finished in the New Year.
